Donated equipment is received at the closest facility depending on your location and processed for resale or recycle. We can pick-up from any lower contiguous States.
Merit removes surplus materials as-is / where-is from client's site. Surplus materials include but are not limited to the following items...
- test and measurement equipment
- lab equipment and components
- computers and peripherals
- miscellaneous electronics
Merit ships materials to our nearest location where after arrival the following takes place...
- Merit sorts, identifies, and describes materials
- Merit removes client identity and information - data on hard drives are eradicated in accordance with Department of Defense standard DOD 5220.22M
- Merit records materials into the database and reports to client on an as needed basis
- Merit holds materials as needed for client's instructions for redeployment, resale, or recycle
- PCs donated locally are loaded with legal copies of MS Windows XP through the MS Authorized Refurbisher Program
Merit prepares and ships material per client's instructions for the following disposition categories...
